Moving Your Drawing Entities to Exact UTM Coordinates - Help

It is important to note that, you can bring drawing entities to UTM co-ordinates only when the drawing is in scale. There are 2 different conditions
  1. Drawing is to Scale i.e, 1:1000 Scale and not rotated with respect to north
  2. Drawing is to Scale – But not exactly to 1:1000 and rotated at an angle

Drawing is to Scale i.e, 1:1000 Scale and not rotated with respect to north

In the this case, we can bring the whole drawing to exact UTM just by moving all the entities in the drawing to with reference to one point.

First identify UTM co-ordinate of one Point.

Now by giving move command move the whole drawing to the known UTM co-ordinate.

Drawing is to Scale – But not exactly to 1:1000 and rotated at an angle

First open the drawing which is not in exact co-ordinate.

Moving Your Drawing Entities To Exact UTM Coordinate
Take the 2 known Co-ordinates from Google earth or from DGPS or GPS.

Moving Your Drawing Entities To Exact UTM Coordinate
Plot the 2 known Co-ordinates in the CAD package using PLine command or Point command.

Moving Your Drawing Entities To Exact UTM Coordinate
Move the drawing to that known co-ordinates with the reference/base points by using Align command to rotate the drawing as per co-ordinates plotted in CAD.
