Derive Layer CS - Offset - Cross Section Software Help



Derive layer feature is one of the important features in ESurvey CADD section module, Derive layer means,create a new layer data from the reference of existing data.

For example, in the sample Cross section below,we can create offset lining to canal bed level, using Derive CS – offset option.

1. Open 'Derive CS layers' from 'Modify' menu

2. Select 'Offset' option from the 'Layer Types' tree view.Click 'New' button and give derive layer name, select resultant layer as 'Layer 41'. Select Offset of  layer as 'WORK DONE LEVELS', enter Height of Offset -0.15 (Height in Negative value means Offset layer to be created below) and click 'Save' button.

3. Now close 'Derive layers CS ' window and select any cross section you can see the result in drawing like below layer 41 is created and displays an offset layer to WORK DONE LEVELS.
