Derive Layer CS - Interpolate - Cross Section Software Help



Derive layer feature is one of the important features in ESurvey CADD section module, Derive layer means,  create a new layer data from the reference of Existing data.

For example, in the below sample cross section drawing Ground levels and Formation levels are not at same Distances. To display ground Levels at distances where formation levels are specified you can use Derive CS Layer.

1. Open ‘Derive CS Layers’ from 'Modify' Menu

2. In 'Derive Layers CS' window Select ‘Interpolate’ option from Layer Types tree view.Click on New button. Give derive layer name as '21-Ground'. Select Resultant layer as 'Layer 41', select first layer as 'Layer 21' and Second Layer as 'Ground' then click 'Save' button

3. Close 'Derive Layers CS ' Window and see any cross section in 'Preview' screen. You can note that interpolated data of Ground is created in Layer 41.
