Derive Layer CS - Inclusive - Cross Section Software Help


Derive layer feature is one of the important features in ESurvey CADD section module, Derive layer means,create a new layer data from the reference of existing data.

For example, in the sample cross section below, quantity to be derived for 'work done' level only to the extent of designed formation level. Derive CS Inclusive Layer, which can be derived using 2 layers with reference to 3rd layers.

1. Open ‘Derive CS Layers’ from Modify Menu

2. Select 'Inclusive' option from Layer Types Tree View. Click ‘New’ button, give a name to derive layer select Resultant Layer as 'EW', select first layer as 'work done', second layer as 'Formation' and Reference layer as 'Ground', then click 'Save' button.

3. Go to Section 'Preview' see the section 'EW ' layer which is derived from 'Formation' and 'work done' Layer.
