Cross Section Assembly - Cross Section Software Help



Assembly in ESurvey CADD is a group of templates joined together to form a combined template. For example, shown below is a Typical cross section. To achieve this type of cross section Assembly feature can be used.

1. Import Ground Data to ESurvey CADD section module interface

2. Import designed formation levels

3. Open CS Templates ->CS Template/Assembly, click on triple dotted button list all CS template names to be required for creating the assembly

4. Select 'main' template from CS Template list, create template with given parameter of carriageway, earthen shoulder and toe line

5. Go to 'CS Template/Assembly' menu then click 'Assembly' select triple dotted bottom to create new Assembly name 'TCS1', then 'Close' window

6. Now add ‘main’ template to TCS1 assembly and click 'Save' button

7. Click ‘Apply Template/Assembly’ from toolbar, select 'From Section' and 'To Section' then select assembly name from ‘Template/Assembly’ list click 'Save' button

8. In 'Preview', you can see that top layer is created and applied on ground layer

9. Create 'bc' road layer CS Template from CS Template Master

10. Add 'bc' Template to 'TCS1' assembly. Note that bc template has to sit at the centre point of the main template hence, you have to enter '0' as X Shift and Y Shift, after selecting 1 {Start} as the reference point for both X Definition and Y Definition group.

11. When you see 'Preview', you can note that bc template is visible in cross section

12. Create 'dbm' road layer template from CS Template Master

13. In assembly, add dbm template with TCS1 assembly with a thickness of 65 mm from 'main' template. When DBM has a thickness of 65 MM, we have to provide value -0.065 as Y Shift, select Ref. Point as 1{Start} to X Definition and Y Definition then click on 'Save' button

14. Go to section 'Preview', you can see main, bc, dbm all being shown as part of same cross section

Similarly, you can be created all road layer template like WMM, GSB, Embankment and combine in TSC1 assembly.
